In Brief
AcroMad is a multi-player game where players think up clever, witty or funny expansions for acronyms.
Players vote for the best one and the player whose response receives the greatest number of votes wins the round.
Submitting Responses
When you join a game you will be presented with a random acronym and theme. A timer will show you how much time you have to submit your response.
You can change your mind after submitting a response by clicking on your response and editing it.
The voting phase begins when all players have responded or when the timer runs out, whichever occurs first.
Voting
During the voting phase all the responses will be shown in a random order with your response at the top of the list.
Click on one of the responses to case a vote. You cannot vote for your own response.
You can change your vote by clicking a different response.
If you do not vote, you will forfeit all votes for your response from other players.
The results phase begins when all players have voted or when the timer runs out, whichever occurs first.
Results
After voting, the results will be shown in order, with the winner at the top of the list.
In the case of a tie, the winner will be the player whose response was submitted the quickest.
After displaying the results, a new round commences with a new acronym and theme.
Rooms
Players can create "rooms" and invite their friends to play.
Rooms allow you and your friends to play separately from other players.
Rooms can be set for a specific age level which affects the themes that are chosen.
To join a room that you have created, players must either enter a code or you can send them a link to click.
In a classroom setting, it is suggested that the teacher creates a room and invites students to play, rather than playing in the public room.
When creating the room the age level can be set. This affects the themes that are chosen.
To invite students to play, the teacher can either provide them with a code to type in manually, or send them a link using the "Invite Others" feature.
Rooms expire after 3 months of no activity.
